Bring home peace of mind.

A simple, gentle home cleaning kit for the few days after radioactive iodine therapy — so you can focus on getting better and your family can stay close.

Why we made this

The hospital sends you home with a folder. We send you a kit.

For a few days after your radioactive iodine treatment, your body needs to clear the small amount your thyroid didn’t use. While that’s happening, tiny traces leave through perspiration, breath, saliva, and the bathroom — and they can land on the surfaces in your home that you and your family touch most.

Most patients are sent home with a one-page handout. “Flush twice. Don’t share towels.” It’s not enough. You shouldn’t have to figure this out alone, and you shouldn’t have to choose between recovering and worrying about the people you love.

For more than 30 years, the same chemistry hospitals use to clean their hot labs has been trusted by nuclear medicine departments around the world. We sized it down for the home so families like yours can use it without a chemistry degree, a nuclear-medicine background, or a single second of stress.

The Two Kits

Choose the one that fits your home.

Both kits include the same gentle S4FE-D® chemistry and easy-to-follow instructions written for real homes (not labs).

How it works

Three steps. That’s really it.

1

Open the kit

Everything is in one box, with a step-by-step guide written like a person wrote it. Take a breath. The hardest part is over.

2

Spray, dwell, wipe

Spray the surfaces you touch most. Wait 30 seconds. Wipe with a paper towel and toss it in the trash. The cleaner does the work.

3

Wash up daily

Use the hand and body soap whenever you wash — especially after the bathroom. Same gentle chemistry. No fragrance, no harshness, kind to skin.

A note for cat parents

Cats are agile. Their I-131 treatment shouldn’t mean two weeks of stress.

Hyperthyroid cats coming home from I-131 are still themselves — jumping on counters, napping on the bed, kneading the laundry, grooming themselves and tracking through the litter box. Our Feline Kit is built around that reality.

You’ll get a guide written for households with cats, with simple steps for the litter box (the biggest contamination point), the surfaces they walk on, and a few tips for the lap-cuddler in your life. Two weeks of supplies, gentle on paws and counters, and a phone number to call if you have questions.

Pregnant women and small children should be especially mindful around recently-treated cats. The kit and guide make this easier, not harder.

— Carol D., Alabama

“I just assumed bleach would be a good thing to use. I’m really glad I found out what a mistake that would have been.”

— Ed, New York

— Julie C., New Jersey
