Effective Date: May 24, 2026
Laboratory Technologies, Inc. (“LTI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website (labtechinc.com), how we use it, and how to contact us with questions or requests. We’re a small, family-owned American manufacturer — we keep this policy short and straightforward for the same reason we keep our instruments simple.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways:
Information you provide directly. When you fill out a contact form, service request, quote request, instrument-registration form, or distributor inquiry, we collect the fields you enter — typically your name, organization, email address, phone number, and the details of your request. When you register an LTI instrument, we also collect the serial number and the install location.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server logs basic technical information when you visit — IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages viewed. We may also use standard web analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. We do not use this information to identify individual visitors.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, send the documentation or quotation you requested, register and warranty your instrument, schedule service, or follow up on a distributor or partner relationship. We may also use it to send occasional product-update notifications, service bulletins, or technical advisories — you can opt out of these at any time by replying to any email or contacting us at the address below.
We use automatically-collected analytics to improve the site — understanding which product pages get traffic, which documents customers download, and where users get stuck.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:
Authorized LTI distributors — when you submit a request from a region served by one of our distributors, we may forward your inquiry to them so they can respond locally. We’ll tell you when we do this.
Service providers we rely on to run the site — web hosting, email delivery, analytics. These vendors only see what they need to provide their service, and they are contractually prohibited from using your information for their own purposes.
When required by law — if a valid legal process compels disclosure.
4. Cookies and Analytics
This site uses a minimal set of cookies for essential functionality (remembering UI state, etc.) and for aggregate analytics. We do not use cookies for behavioral advertising or cross-site tracking. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings; the site will continue to work with cookies disabled, though some features may not remember your preferences between visits.
5. Data Retention
Inquiry and quotation records are retained as long as needed to support an active conversation, an active customer relationship, or an active warranty. Server logs are typically rotated within 90 days. Instrument-registration records are retained for the operational life of the instrument so we can support customers with serialized service history — some of our gamma counters from the 1980s are still in daily use.
6. Your Choices
You can ask us at any time to:
• Confirm what personal information we have about you
• Correct or update information that’s out of date
• Remove your information from our records (subject to legitimate business needs such as ongoing warranty support)
• Stop receiving marketing or product-update communications
Email sales@labtechinc.com with your request and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect the information you share with us — encrypted form submissions, access controls on our internal systems, and limited retention of sensitive information. No website transmission is perfectly secure, but we’ve built this one with sensible defaults.
8. Children
This website is intended for laboratory professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we’ll change the effective date at the top of the page. For material changes affecting how we use information you’ve already shared, we’ll make a reasonable effort to notify you directly.
