Single-Detector Wipe Test Counter · Compact · Built-In MCA

Wiper™ Gold

Compact single-detector wipe-test counter built for the small or satellite hot lab. AutoSpect™ with Spectrum Compensation delivers accurate DPM on any gamma-emitting isotope up to 1 MeV from a single Cs-137, Na-22, or Co-57 calibration. Thirty programmable wipe locations, sixteen customizable tests, and the only true 4096-channel multi-channel analyzer (MCA) built into a wipe-test counter — the headline feature that puts the Wiper Gold in a category by itself.

  • 1NaI(Tl) detector
  • Up to 1MeVEnergy range
  • 0.75"Equivalent shielding

Wiper Gold single-detector wipe-test counter
Overview

The wipe counter for the lab that doesn't need ten wells.

Not every nuclear medicine department needs a 10-well Multi-Wiper. Satellite imaging centers, single-cyclotron radiopharmacies, smaller research labs, and veterinary hospitals all need a real wipe-test counter — just one with one well, a small footprint, and a price point that fits a single-instrument budget. The Wiper Gold is that counter. Same Genesys-platform NaI(Tl) detector design, same AutoSpect™ isotope DPM, same regulatory-grade record keeping — sized down to a 22-pound bench-top.

Compact, capable, lab-grade shielded

10.5" × 12" × 10" footprint. 22 pounds. Fits on a satellite-lab bench, a research desk, or wherever you have outlet space. Despite the size, full 4096-channel MCA, real Spectrum Compensation, 1-MeV energy range, 0.75″ equivalent radiation shielding, and a mu-metal light shield around the PMT — not a stripped-down handheld.

AutoSpect™ with Spectrum Compensation

AutoSpect corrects for crystal efficiency variation across the energy range; Spectrum Compensation goes one step further by adjusting for each isotope’s gamma abundance. The result: accurate DPM on any isotope, from a single calibration source. No expensive isotope-specific standards.

Built for serious workflow, not a desk gadget

30+ programmable wipe locations. 16 customizable tests. Iterative counting with decay-curve analysis (set the sequence, walk away). Forward and reverse decay correction. Sample volume correction. The Wiper Gold has the workflow features of a counter twice its size.

New · Software Companion

Add LTI Capture™ — the Wiper Gold's digital reporting upgrade.

Every report your Wiper Gold prints — wipe tests, calibration summaries, AutoSpect™ spectra, decay calculations, daily QC — captured directly to a properly named PDF, filed into a searchable archive, and optionally printed to any networked office printer or exported as CSV to your LIS/LIMS. The dot-matrix data path, replaced by software.

  • One USB-to-Serial cable. No firmware change. Plug, install, capture.
  • Pixel-perfect PDF capture of every report the instrument would have printed.
  • Filed automatically by date and report type — searchable, re-printable, archivable.
  • CSV export to LIS/LIMS for facilities that need structured data alongside the PDF record.
  • Compatible with every Wiper Gold ever shipped — plus the rest of the Wiper family and the Genesys™ counters.

Well options

The Wiper Gold ships in two well configurations — same chassis, same firmware, same MCA. Click a card to see which samples each well is sized for.

  • Wiper GoldStandard well
  • Gold LSVLarge sample volume

Standard well — 0.67″ (17 mm) bore × 1″¼ (32 mm) deep. Sized for routine wipe vials, scintillation vials, and standard 13 mm and 16 mm RIA / culture tubes. The right pick for hot-lab wipe testing and small-format samples — the configuration most Wiper Gold customers spec.

LSV well — deeper, wider chamber. Sized for 15 mL and 50 mL centrifuge vials, larger reagent and storage vials, bulk-volume rinse samples, and large source standards. Same chassis, same firmware, same MCA — the chamber is the only thing that changes. See Inside the Box for the full comparison.
